Almost 3 Months

Denton is almost 3 months now. He blew through his two month check-up no problems. 75%tile for weight and head and 49th for height. So far looks like he will be bigger than his brother. He is very healthy, a good eater and a great sleeper as long as he is being held:) He smiles a ton, loves to stand and look around. He is trying to sit -up but can't yet of course. He is very strong and bats at objects. He has rolled from his back to his belly but still had his one arm across him so it doesn't quite count but is close. I am loving being home with him and we take him and big brother all over the place.

1 month

Denton is 1 month old! I can't believe it. He is eating well and growing fast. 10 pounds 13 ounces in the 77%tile.

Graydon is a great big brother. He loves to help out. He has his moments of course, he's two:)

He's Here

Well he's here. God is so good. We are so blessed. Tuesday I woke up early with strong but irregular contractions. Labor was likely starting but either way we went into the hospital for our scheduled induction. Having already been 4cm we were able to elect an induction instead of a c-section. We checked in at 5, water was broken by the OBGYN at 6 and by 10 we were fully dilated and ready to push! We pushed for an hour and once his big head was out the rest flew out! He was 1lb heavier and over 2" longer than Graydon. The nurses and doctors were wonderful and 2 days later we were released. I had a pretty significant tear and he is slightly jaundice. But we are both doing well and happy to be home. He is an energetic nurser and laid back baby.

Keeping Busy

Still no baby, I should have known when I picked the name Denton that this baby would be stubborn like his namesake:). He is in no hurry to get here. At least he has been kind, it's been a fairly easy pregnancy.

9th Month

The Waiting Game

We are into the ninth month! It has gone fast, I can't believe he is due in 3 weeks! No strong signs of labor yet. A few rounds of Braxton hicks contractions and one false alarm, we are more than ready:) Diapers stacked, clothes and bedding washed name picked (Denton)! He moves more than Graydon did, his tush and legs and tiny


feet, so maybe he'll be slightly smaller:). Graydon was a few weeks early and weighed 7lbs 5oz. We'll see!

Mother's Day

Cute pic, Graydon looking at the belly and pointing. He is starting to be curious about it, and he has felt his brother kick a few times. When asked sometime he'll tell you there's a baby in my tummy:)

Done with 6 on to 7 Months!

Well I had some technical difficulties and ended up deleting the first try at this. I haven't written much anyways but know they'll be lots to post once he arrives. I am a little late at this I almost to my eighth month now but...I am feeling pretty good. He is getting bigger and bigger and feels bigger or longer than Graydon. I think I am feeling what they call Braxton Hicks contractions which are safe and normal but new to me because I didn't have them with Graydon. The second time around is much tougher since you are chasing the first one! No rest for the weary I guess:) No crazy cravings or anything just everything in site. What I crave more than any food though is rest. I am lucky and sleep at night but am so tired still by the afternoon. I can't believe we only have two more months to go. We have a meadow/woods theme in the nursery with the colors brown and green. I'll post picks when it's all done. It's almost there. Not much else to report, he is an active and sweet booger. He loves my singing or hates it:) He moves when I sing and responds often to my voice, especially when I scold someone at school. I can't wait to see him. Some heartburn but not terrible so who knows if we'll get a full head of black hair this time:)
